I am super thankful for my family. It is with a grateful and honest heart that I can say that we all get really well. My family is awesome. Sure, we can drive each other a little nutty at times but I must say the BEST advice my Dad gave me a long time ago was that it's better to accept that people have faults and that it's a waste of time to try and change them. It's up to you to decide if you can live with those faults or not. I also realize that we don't get to choose family and if you just can't get along with yours that OK. Create your own. Add those besties to the family list. I know my best pals and das baby's Godparents are on my family list.
An extra special shout of gratitude goes out to my sister today because darlings, she's awesome-sauce. Sissy and I are 13 months apart and are very different in many respects but she is really my best friend and we get along amazingly well. Even if we have tiffs they rarely last more than 3 minutes and then we end up laughing about it. The famed "Don't be so Goddamn sensitive" incident in the parking lot of a Wyoming gas station lasted only 2 minutes and ended in giggles that last to this day. Sissy is really amazing, smart, works a serious adult job, she has an enormous heart for others, takes great care of herself and did I mention she jumps out of planes? Yep. Awesome-sauce.

Give your family a shout out today. Make it a point to contact them on a regular basis. Hang their pictures in your home. Tattoo the word 'MOM' on your arm.

awesomeness! I love my family too. And the beauty is, I have family EVERYWHERE!! I have been blessed to not only have an amazing biological family but and extended network of fabulous folk all over this globe. And that includes you Mamma!
