Gratitude and Thankfulness-Day Eighteen

Buon Saturday Darlings!

Today is another random post of all things that make me smile.  I'm grateful for whimsy.  Playfully quaint and fanciful behavior is sometimes the only thing that gets me through the day.

In no particular order of random greatness:

1)  Have you seen the full moon lately?  It seems brighter than most full moons in the past, no?  I wake up early every morning to bright beams pouring in my bedroom window and it is a wonderful way to start the day.  For a moment the world is just a little brighter and a lot quieter.

2)  Leslie Hall.  INCREDIBLE.  Craft Talk?  AWESOME-SAUCE.

3)  My Fermenting Crock arrives today.  It's going to be Sauerkraut for the Savior friends-fermented goodness just in time for Christmas.  Side note-if you want one of these stoneware beauties hunt around the internets for the best price.  I went directly to Amazon and thought I was getting the cheapest price, but no.  Lesson learned.

4)  The adventures with The Red Maiden continue.  I roasted a pumpkin last night and right now tomatoes are turning into marinara.  This entire week has been building to my magnum opus.....wait for it.....LASAGNA!   Reports to follow but to say I'm over the moon excited is the understatement of the day and the fact that a good friend is coming to help with the adventure?  Le Sigh.

Pumpkin ready for the roasting
5)  My favorite body wash, Glögg, is back at LUSH for the holidays.  It is spicy goodness and makes you want to sing carols in the shower.

6)  Full disclaimer-I'm not usually in the busing of promoting holiday events before Thanksgiving but I have to share the news of this really fun concert.  I'm truly grateful for music and the opportunity to make music and especially grateful when I get to make music with a good group of people.  I had a great rehearsal for a concert that I'm singing in on December 3rd last night.  If you are in the NYC area come and check it out.  There is a great lineup of singers including a visiting Male Choir from Sardinia.  The space is always beautiful and it's a great way to start the holiday season.  Admission is free and light reception to follow.

Enjoy your weekend friends!
