Cyber Adventskalendar-Day 16

Happy Friday!

I'm running a little behind this morning because I decided to stay in bed snuggling with a snoring and wiggly toddler instead of getting up early to work.  It was divine!

One of my Church Lady friends in crime popped by last night and we were lamenting how it seems no one makes as big of an effort anymore in regards to appreciating Christmas generosity.  For example, she went to the extra effort of making cookie plates for her coworkers and no one really said anything.  Of course as the 'Gifter' the point shouldn't be to receive high praise from the 'Giftee'.  That would be selfish and defeat the purpose of doing something nice in the spirit of the season.  However, a genuine Thank-You is always appreciated and encouraged.

In the spirit of making a Christmas Effort I have to give a shout out to my neighbors.  Sure, Manhattan has it's beautiful Christmas windows and lines to see Santa at Macy's and the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree but the middle class folks of Queens are putting in an effort too.

Love the Christmas lights on this fire escape!

One lone tree in the middle of the block wearing festive gear.

An Astoria Holiday Window

My Super from Serbia loves Santa (and so does the Toddler).

My neighbors wreath and shameless self promotion for his Christmas musical.

Totally unrelated but they were shooting a film or TV show in the neighborhood and clearly Stunts and Shenanigans has her own trailer.
Buon weekend darlings and enjoy the Christmas merriment all around.....and don't forget to say thanks.

XOXO
